Gung Hei Faat Choi!!
This week we took a whole day to deep clean our apartment. why? because no one was out on the streets!! And because it is Chinese New year and so you gotta clean the whole house!! It was quite refreshing and I think the Chinese are so smart for having this tradition.
It has been pretty busy convering 2 areas, every night we come home so exhausted and it feels so good!! It has been fun to learn about New Years traditions and to celebrate with ward members. One day we hiked up the mountains to a Helicopter launch pad to play games and have a picnic with the ward! It was so fun to see so many families together and get to know some new people! The atmoshpere has been very different and so happy! one day we were just walking on the bridge and heard some drums beating, we turned the corner and there was a lion dance going on and poeple handing out red envelopes with chocolate in them.
This week will be crazy with transfers and meetings with Elder Ballard!! We are so blessed here in Hong Kong!!
