My favorite miracle of the week happened on Sunday! We were walking towards the church building with a less active member when we heard someone shouting "hello" to us. Thinking it was one of the ward members, we turned around and saw our investigator Ms. Y! She hadn't showed up to the lesson we scheduled earlier that week and wasn't answering her phone so we thought she was dropping us. But she woke up early for some reason and said she felt very prompted to go to church! It was also her first time staying for all 3 hours! It truly was a miracle that she came to church all on her own because before we would have to work really hard to get her to come. Her faith is growing so much and I know that her prayers and our prayers are being answered!!
We taught a lot of part member families this week and in honor of Father's Day, helped them understand that we are children of a loving Heavenly Father. We shared the Mormon Message "Heavenly Father, Earthly Father." If you haven't seen it before, watch it!! It is so so awesome!
I testify that our Heavenly Father knows and loves everyone of us even more than our earthly fathers do!!!
Since this week is transfer week we also got to attend a fireside held for recent converts to share their testimony. Wow it was so powerful to here how grateful people are for those persistent missionaries. So many of them expressed that at first they would drop the missionaries and not keep commitments but the missionaries wouldn't give up on them. Conversion takes time and the adversary will do all he can to discourage us from coming unto Christ. But constant persistent effort by both the missionary and investigator will work miracles. So this week I encourage you to keep checking up on that person you have tried and tried and tried to share the gospel with. No effort is worthless, I promise!
One thing I love about Hong Kong....
When you address kids you call them little brother or little sister and they call me big sister ( in Cantonese) and when you address old ladies you call them grandma and they call me pretty girl :) The Hong Kongers have got this "we're all part of a big family" idea down. I love it!
Have an awesome week. LOVE YOU!!!
